I had my first Britain's bought for me in around 1964, but I don't remember hollow cast at all from then. I do, however, remember the brilliant Timpo Crusaders which currently feature on your blog - top banana!AlFronthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03309612957773750838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6713133878713687741.post-44310975835837879432014-06-29T02:10:26.697-07:002014-06-29T02:10:26.697-07:00Hi, the KAR were in production right up until Brit...Hi, the KAR were in production right up until Britains ceased hollow casting in 1966. By then there were two catalogues, plastic for the juvenile toy trade and hollow cast for the adult collectors market, which were mostly sold through Hamleys of London. I'd say that your figure was made in the 1950's gong by the paint style.Brian Carrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08221659266588227029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6713133878713687741.post-26424029233545870852014-06-28T13:16:27.685-07:002014-06-28T13:16:27.685-07:00Cheers, Brian. I had a force of Reds too that are somewhere at Al Front's Hobbit-bunker. Somewhere else is an unmade and unpainted Tchanka and a small group of cavalry. Most of the figures were from IT Miniatures, I think. There were some sailors, too, and I remember having a game with a childhood friend on the floor of the front room where he was the Kronstadt sailors and I was the dastardly Soviets. The Workerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03548315123275465797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6713133878713687741.post-49632212724872463472014-06-25T06:29:41.926-07:002014-06-25T06:29:41.926-07:00Nice looking minis, love the 'white guard'...Nice looking minis, love the 'white guard'...Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08913029478686087197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6713133878713687741.post-83806340552424111252014-06-24T23:55:15.372-07:002014-06-24T23:55:15.372-07:00Great figures...the Rocketman is wonderful, any id...Great figures...the Rocketman is wonderful, any ideas of the make?Springinsfeldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14088330681756351208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6713133878713687741.post-82145016115406703582014-06-24T12:07:24.784-07:002014-06-24T12:07:24.784-07:00There is certainly a nice variety to the collectio...There is certainly a nice variety to the collection, and some lovely and interesting figures.Ross Mac rmacfa@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04053555991679802013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6713133878713687741.post-43644215501524638392014-06-24T06:28:30.086-07:002014-06-24T06:28:30.086-07:00The Belgian Boy Scout always was a bit free with h...The Belgian Boy Scout always was a bit free with his fists and pistol...The Workerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03548315123275465797noreply@blogger.com
